Golf WA Launch

Golf WA was officially launched on 24 August 2010 at Royal Perth Golf Club, Western Australia

Golf WA was officially launched yesterday by the Hon. Terry Waldron MLA, Minister of Sport and Recreation, Racing and Gaming at Royal Perth Golf Club.

Among the 120 invited guests attending the launch were Stephen Pitt, CEO of Golf Australia, Trevor Herden, Tournament Director Golf Australia, Ron Alexander, Director General Department of Sport and Recreation and Bill Ongley, Sports Program Manager from Healthway along with many club Presidents, Captains and delegates.

The new Golf WA Logo was unveiled during the launch.

The Women's Golf staff will be moving to the Men's Golf office in the next 2 weeks. This will possibly be a temporary location as Golf WA considers the opportunity to move to new premises at the Wembley Golf Complex, which is still under construction.

The Chief Executive for Golf WA is expected to be appointed by the end of September 2010.

Latest News Update from Women's Golf WA

Our September is jam-pack full of events. We have the Country Week, Jubilee Foursomes Play off, Silver Spoon Play off, George Booth I.T.S 4BBB Team Play off and the WA Girls State Championship.

In High Performance, the WA girls will be competing in the Gladys Hay Interstate Series and we wish them all the best.

If you are a female golfer, aged between 18 - 24 years old, there is a current study by UWA in regards to female golfers. Please read this poster and register your interest in assisting in this study.
